Nestled by the scenic Le Joyeuse river, this 17th-century water mill has been thoughtfully restored, offering a charming blend of history and comfort. My stay here was quite pleasant, mainly due to the welcoming nature of the hosts, who genuinely made me feel at home. The accommodation features an old wooden staircase leading to an extremely comfortable bedroom with an inviting big bed, rustic roof beams, and the soothing sound of the river below. The hosts provide an excellent breakfast each morning, showcasing local delights like cheeses, jams, and artisan bread, perfect for fueling up before a day of hiking or exploring. One standout feature is the outdoor dining area, which makes for a lovely spot to enjoy the gardens after a day of activity. The hotel offers additional amenities such as tea and coffee facilities, along with free toiletries, making it a practical choice for savvy travelers.
